Table Story Dinners spotlights chefs and cultures from around the world, igniting meaningful conversations about food, heritage, and what brings us together. Our tagline? Celebrating culture, family style.

We’re welcoming spring with our March Table Story Dinner, and it’s one we’ve been especially excited to bring to life. On Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT, we’ll gather for an evening centered on Korean cuisine, culture, and good energy with Chef Alex Player of Vicious Biscuit.

The evening will feature Korean-inspired dishes rooted in street and pub food traditions, shaped by Chef Alex’s childhood experiences living in South Korea and the flavors he grew up loving. Guests can expect bold, comforting flavors, savory and slightly sweet notes, crispy textures, warm shareable plates, and a thoughtful dessert to close the night. Every course is designed to be enjoyed family-style and experienced together.

Chef Alex Player grew up in a military family, spending part of his childhood living in South Korea before his family settled in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. He now lives in Baton Rouge with his fiancée Brianna and their son, Jace. Alex spent 14 years as Executive Chef at the historic City Café and later served as Executive Chef at Alexander’s Heritage Market. Today, he operates Vicious Biscuit and plans to open three more locations across Baton Rouge.
