Ophelia Ray / Live at The Camden Chapel
Thu 2 Apr 2020 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM BST
Live at The Camden Chapel (Top Floor London Irish Centre), NW1 9XB
Description
Ophelia Ray is a 25 year old singer-songwriter, described on BBC Radio as a unique and haunting artist with vocal similarities to Kate Bush, Florence Welch and Siouxie Sioux. Ophelia is trained as an opera singer and merges classical disciplines with dark folk and rock elements to create an original and other-worldly soundscape.
The Ophelia Ray band also includes concert pianist Joe Pike and guitarist Edward Bettella, bringing added intricacy to this unique trio. The overall sound has been described by BBC Introducing as being an ‘ethereal experience’ with instrumental echoes of Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.
Following the launch of their first EP in January of this year, the band have been selling out shows and are set to play at several prestigious UK venues and festivals this summer, making their London debut at Camden Chapel!
