Welcome to Tamar View's Winter Wonderland.

This year, we are continuing with our 30 minute time slots to reduce queueing and waiting times. As per previous years, a short wait may occur especially during busy periods but we assure you, there will be all our regular animations and displays to see. 

All paying children will receive a special gift from Father Christmas himself included in the price. 

Tickets cost £8.99 each.

Tickets are required for children ONLY. Adults do not require a ticket to accompany children. 

For children with SEN, we recommend time slots between 9am - 10.30am and 3pm - 4.30pm as the store and the event is generally less busy and a lot quieter, providing more space and time. As always, if you have any specific requirements or needs we will do our very best to accommodate them.

We will be joined by professional photographers who you will be able to buy a range of items from to remember the special day.

Frequently asked questions

How do I buy a ticket?

• We have an online booking system in which you can select your date and time. You will be sent your tickets via email. These will need to be shown on the day. Tickets cost £8.99 per child.

Can I buy tickets instore on the day?

• If we are not fully booked, yes tickets will be available. However we cannot make any guarantees on ticket availability in store. We would advise prebooking to avoid any disappointment. Sessions closer to Christmas are highly likely to sell out.

Can I book over the phone?

• We encourage you, if possible, to use the online booking system. To book over the phone, we will simply book through the system for you in your absence.

Do I need to pay for my baby who doesn’t need a present?

• If your baby is accompanying other children then they go through the grotto free, however will not receive a present. Unfortunately, if they are not accompanying other children a ticket will be required.

How many tickets do I need?

• Each child receiving a gift requires a ticket to enter the grotto, with accompanying adults going free. So for example, if you have 3 children and 2 parents you will require 3 tickets.

What does the ticket include?

• Every ticket includes a special present for each ticketholder. Adults do not require a ticket to accompany the children, but we do ask to keep the number of adults to a minimum due to space and time.

What should I wear?

• Our grotto this year is located in our covered greenhouses and due to the time of year could get cold, so we recommend bringing warm clothing as a short wait may occur.

Is it suitable for people with disabilities or SENs?

• Yes, we make every effort to accommodate all situations however if you require special assistance or have concerns, please do contact us ahead of your visit or booking. We recommend time slots between 9am- 11am and 3.30-5pm as these are much quieter instore if a visitor has additional sensory needs.

What if I’m late?

• Don’t worry, we are not strict, and we will endeavour to fit you in at the next available opportunity. Please try to let us know so we are expecting you. Please be aware though that during busy periods this may incur a little wait.

What if I can’t attend or have booked the wrong time?

• Please only book once you are happy with the timeslots. We will be able to swap timeslots and issue credits but may not be able to offer alternative slots depending on availability. Refunds will be issued at Tamar View Nurseries management discretion. Please notify us at the earliest possible time for the best chance for altering the times/ cancellation.

Where is the grotto located?

• Tamar View Nurseries Garden Centre, PL12 6PH. On entering the garden centre, follow the signs outside to the Grotto with the entrance being in the corner of the Christmas area.

Can I take photos?

• Yes, but we do ask that you keep photos with Father Christmas to a minimum to allow other visitors their time with Father Christmas. We will also have independent professional photographers with keepsakes available for purchase on the day.
