Across the weekend, your international Maestro's will lead a progressive series of workshops exploring:

• Salon Elegance – master refined walk, embrace, and traditional figures
• Nuevo Expression – playful dynamics, musical interpretations, and creative structures
• Musicality & Connection – for dancers who want to go deeper into the music and their partner connection
• Technique & Adornos – for both leaders and followers, adding quality and beauty to every step

Workshops are carefully structured, offering separate Traditional & Nuevo workshops to give dancers “the best of both worlds”—balancing technical detail with creative freedom.

Social Dancing

Every evening, the Crowne Plaza transforms into a haven for tango lovers. The dual-room milongas run nightly, and for 2027 we will alternate the Forest Suite milongas nightly as well as transforming the Ebony lounge into a beautiful dance space for milongas:

The Weekender is back — and 2027 brings some exciting tweaks!

We've made two key updates for next year:

The second room moves to the Ebony Lounge - a much larger space than the Ash Suite, giving you more room to dance and move freely between the two. As always, AFML Flooring will be bringing their world-class dance floors to the venue!

The rooms will switch styles across the weekend evenings, so everyone gets a change of scenery. Each night features Traditional in one room and Alternative/Nuevo in the other across both Friday and Saturday with Sunday evening finishing off with a 50 -50 Milonga in the Forest Suite.

We're also introducing flexible 2 and 3-night full board options, so you can choose the experience that suits you best.

Full Board Comfort

• Full Board: Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, workshops and late-night dancing included in your package from just £330pp.
• If you want single room occupancy the weekend carries a single room supplement of an additional £75
• Hotel facilities: Onsite bar, spa, pool, and gym—all included in the price, perfect for winding down between workshops and milongas.
• Convenience: No commuting, no searching for food—everything is provided so you can fully immerse yourself in tango.

 The cost of the weekend

Early bird booking price is £330 for two nights FULLBOARD per person based on 2 people sharing this includes ALL Meals from Friday evening upto and including Sunday Lunchtime & ALL Workshops & Milongas right through to Sunday evening finish. 3 Nights also available in ticket options. If single room occupancy is required this carries an additional £75 Single supplement charge early bird bookings end on 1st February 2027, after that the cost will rise to the full amount of £350 per person for 2 nights. 

Places are only secured with a £50 per person non-refundable deposit. 

The remaining full balance is due by no later than 30th April 2027.

Please choose your room type carefully when booking.

If you are booking as a couple (1 Leader and 1 Follower) but would prefer a twin room or two single rooms, please complete the accommodation questionnaire as soon as you receive it by email. Room allocations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and delaying the form may mean we are unable to accommodate your preferred room type.

We have to carefully balance the number of Leader and Follower places, as well as the hotel's room allocations. For this reason, requests to change from sharing to single occupancy, swap room types, or make other accommodation changes after booking cannot always be guaranteed.

Taking a few moments to select the correct room option when completing your questionnaire promptly helps us allocate rooms fairly and reduces the significant amount of additional administration involved in making changes later.

THE HOTEL
It takes place in the intimate environment of a 4 STAR hotel in the East Midlands. Due to the layout of the hotel you can arrive on Friday and stay in your dance shoes until Sunday - perfect.

The hotel has really friendly staff and has recently been extensively updated. It benefits from an excellent Marco Pierre White Restaurant, with food being prepared on-site, meaning the hotel is able to accommodate most special diary requirements (please notify Zoe in advance)

Crowne Plaza Kegworth Hotel is about two miles from East Midlands Parkway railway station, it's also on a 24 hour bus route with easy access from Nottingham and Derby! Finally it's only three miles from East Midlands International Airport! Crowne Plaza East Midlands Hotel is very well located, however you choose to travel.


Expect top tuition through the day, great food, comfortable rooms and some of the very best Alt Tango.

As always, some of the most excellent and top notch teachers the UK & Europe has to offer who bring such energy, fun & quality teaching.....quite unique in what they do. It is a magical, FULL BOARD, Weekend of Traditional Tango & Alternative Tango enveloped in a unique, friendly atmosphere. In fact, it's a perfect environment for learning in. With different teachers, and a selection of DJ’s who you will have seen on the Traditional & Alternative Tango scene with dance instruction through the day, and social dancing through into the wee small hours, this is a weekend to seriously accelerate your dancing.

MEALS

ALL MEALS WILL HAVE VEGETARIAN, VEGAN & DIARY FREE CHOICES, THESE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS NEED TO BE PROVIDED TO ZOE AT TIME OF BOOKING.

BREAKFAST – Full English, Continental, Cereals, Fruit, Bread cheeses and meats.

LUNCH – Included in the price Lunch will be provided by Chef on the Saturday and Sunday.

EVENING MEAL – Full-board, Evening Meals will be provided by Chef on the Friday & Saturday Evening

EVENING MEAL SUNDAY - It is a 2 course meal in the MAIN MARCOS restaurant, you will need to book your evening meal time on arrival on the Friday at the event at MAIN RECEPTION.
