The Night Train Festival is a collective swing event in Cologne celebrating African American jazz dance forms. International musicians and dancers come together to share and grow the Lindy Hop and swing scene. Collaboration, celebration and community are at the heart of the event.

Workshop Description

Lindy Hop Intermediate (5h) Nils & Bianca, Rikard & Pamela
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop more than 6 months, attending social dances. You know essential moves and easily mix them (tuck turn, pass by, swing out, circle, send out). No audition

Lindy Hop Advanced & Advanced Plus (5h) Nils & Bianca, Rikard & Pamela
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop for a while, attending social dances and workshops regularly. You know essential moves and easily mix them within various tempos and understand well the concepts of lead or follow. You are familiar with rhythm variation and improvisation. *There will be a cozy audition before the class

Solo Jazz Open Level (2h) – Rikard & Pamela
Time to reconnect with the roots of authentic jazz, making your exploration more meaningful, authentic and playful. This workshop welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers, offering depth to enrich any level of experience.

Followers Special Workshop (1h) – Pamela

Special workshop designed for followers. We will explore connection, movement and how we communicate through dance. Together we share ideas and dive deeper into the world of following, its possibilities and its unique style.
