"Hakuna Matata — It means no worries!"

Join us for an unforgettable outdoor cinema experience in the Tulips for Tapping field, new for 2025!

We're bringing the magic of the savanna to the big screen with a  showing of Disney’s The Lion King (1994). Begin the evening with a stroll amongst the tulips followed by the beloved animated classic that roared its way into our hearts. Watch Simba’s epic journey from cub to king on an our open-air screen, with all your favourite songs, from Circle of Life to Can You Feel the Love Tonight.

Don’t forget to bring your own chair or blanket — because this is one night you won’t want to miss!

Tickets will allow entry from 5:15pm to walk around and enjoy a breathtaking kaleidoscope of colour in the tulips, with the film starting at 7pm.

There will be local traders selling food and refreshments. As well as sweet treats from Tapping House.
Toilet facilities, ample parking and a stall selling tulip merchandise will be available at the field.

  • Film certificate: U
  • Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The event will go ahead if it’s raining, but we are hoping for a nice dry weekend!
  • No seating provided. Please bring a blanket or camping chairs. Chairs will be positioned nearer the back of the seating area.
  • We kindly ask that you do not bring any glass.

2025 is an important year for Tapping House as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. Our best ever display with over 9 million tulips and 32 acres to enjoy. Tulips for Tapping is the only opportunity to visit and walk through working tulip fields in the UK, while supporting the Hospice. All proceeds will directly fund care for people who are living with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.

The fields are in a different location from last year and are located just off the A148, close to Sandringham; the exact location will be revealed to ticket holders at point of purchase. Please note due to its location, there is no public transport to the field.

To ensure entry to our cinema experience, tickets must be pre-booked in advance.

Please ensure that you only have one browser open when purchasing tickets to allow for a quick and easy check out.
Please also be aware that tickets are only held in your basket for five minutes.

Dogs and drones are strictly forbidden on the field. Assistance dogs welcome. While those using wheelchairs and buggies are wholeheartedly welcomed at the field, we would ask that users be aware that conditions on the day are dependent upon the weather. The terrain will be uneven and can be muddy or dusty; please bear this in mind before you visit and wear appropriate footwear. The site is a no smoking and no vaping zone.

Please note all tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Unless we cancel the event.

All funds raised will benefit Tapping House. We provide free rest-of-life care and bereavement support to residents living in West Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire.

With special thanks to Norfolk Tulips, Michael Rae and Roydon Hall Farms.
