The Taraneh Orchestra is a new, Manchester-based ensemble that aims to provide opportunities for young professionals and music graduates in Manchester, as well as making classical music more accessible and welcoming to everyone. We’re so excited to announce our next concert, Melodía: An Evening of English and Hispanic Music, taking place at St Paul's Church at 7:30pm 16th May 2026!

*Please note, this is a new venue following a recent change. Disregard any posters with a different address.*

This concert is in collaboration with musicians from Orquesta Sinfónica de Pozuelo de Alarcón La Lira (OSPAL), based in Madrid. We are incredibly honoured and excited to be joined by OSPAL’s Principle Conductor Javier Hermosa Sánchez, along with players from their orchestra. We are welcoming them to our home in Manchester after Taraneh's incredible trip for our joint concert in Madrid last month. We look forward to you joining us as we come together to celebrate music from our two nations!

Concert Programme:

Alonso - Suspiros de España
Vaughan Williams - English Folk Song Suite
Giménez - La boda de Luis Alonso
Elgar - Enigma Variations
Smyth - The Wreckers
de Falla - El sombrero de tres picos
Márquez - Danzón No. 2
