The Last Day of the Dig

Join us for a showing of ’The Last Day of the Dig’, a short film made on the final day of archaeological excavation in 2007. In the film, Martin Carver talks about why Portmahomack is so important, and reminds us of the astonishing discoveries made during the dig. After the film, Dougie Scott, local author and silversmith, will discuss how the film came to be, and will share his memories of the dig.

In the second half of the evening we invite you to share your memories (and memorabilia!) from the dig - stories, photographs, and whatever else you’d like to bring along.
