This training focuses on establishing causal evidence through evaluation, with a particular focus on quasi-experimental designs (QEDs). During the first half-day session, you will gain an overview of the concept of causality in research, and of different options for causal evaluation methods. The second half-day session focuses on QEDs, including an overview of QED approaches, spotting opportunities for QEDs, and practical considerations.
Please note the first session of this training covers the same content as the first session of “Measuring impact: Causal evaluation and randomised controlled trials” on 8 December. You will have the option to attend only the second QED session of this training if you have already attended the full RCT training.
