A fascinating tour visiting MYB Textiles, makers of luxury lace products in Newmilns since 1900 and suppliers of lace to the TV and film industries. Followed by an interactive tour and lunch in the Victorian setting of Lamlash House, Newmilns adjacent to the River Irvine which helped power the looms in the local lace factories. This Category B Listed Victorian building which operated as a Bank and adjoining Bank Manager’s House boasts magnificent restored stained glass windows by renowned Glasgow artist Stephen Adam. Here, you will experience a trip back in time and meet a past maid servant who relays events in the house over 100 years previous.
