The official 2-day in-person "Training from the BACK of the Room" (TBR) Practitioner Class is a globally-acclaimed, interactive, skills-building train-the-trainer class for anyone who is a trainer, teacher, instructor, coach, or facilitator of learning.

In this 2-day in-person TBR Practitioner Class, you’ll explore how the human brain really learns, which is very different from traditional assumptions about learning.

During the class, you will:

  • Explore six powerful learning principles that make it stick with our brains
  • Apply these principles every time you train, teach, instruct, facilitate or coach others.
  • Experience and collect dozens of interactive instructional strategies that you can use with any topic and any group of learners.
  • Use the 4Cs Map – a powerful 4-step instructional design and delivery model – to design any class or training you facilitate.
  • Create a training plan specific to a topic you already teach or plan to teach
  • Receive a 33-page resource workbook that is only available with this class, as well as a copy of Sharon Bowman’s best-selling book: ”Training from the BACK of the Room!”

10+ years experience as an Agile coach, consultant, workshop facilitator and trainer.

I've always been passionate about professional development, which has lead me to attend various different certifications over the years. After attending a Lovebrain certification in 2019, it developed a deep interest into how the brain works and how we learn and retain information. Attending the Training from the BACK of the room (TBR) practitioner course was a game-changer for me, as it connected the concepts covered during Lovebrain to the professional world of facilitation and training delivery. I now use TBR techniques in everything I do alongside my role as an agile coach, consultant and facilitator, and conference speaker. I've aspired to be a certified trainer for years because I frequently deliver training as part of my agile coaching and consulting engagements, and it always gives me the buzz. As a pragmatic, agile methodology agnostic coach, I couldn't quite choose a framework to deliver training against. This made becoming a TBR Trainer a no-brainer to me, as it is a context-agnostic delivery model, that gives you the tools and techniques to consider the brain, when delivering training, workshops, conferences or presentations in an engaging way.
