A new film by documentary filmmaker, Mariusz Pilis, entitled “The Story of One Crime” tells the story of the Ulma family, Józef and Wiktoria and their seven children, who sacrificed their lives in an attempt to save two Jewish families during the Holocaust.

The film was produced in cooperation with the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN). The director focuses on the problem of the lack of punishment for Lt. Eilert Diecken, who was responsible for carrying out the crime. He meets his daughter, who knows nothing about her father's role during World War II. He talks to members of the Ulma family and the rescued Abraham Segal - a Jew from Markowa.
