Playing with Words on National Poetry Day

To celebrate National Poetry Day we are inviting you to play with words and phrases in this creative, thought-provoking workshop on the theme of 'wonder' led by artist Sue Mayo. 

In this workshop you'll explore language through interactive poetry exercises.  Together, you will uncover forgotten words, reimagine familiar ones and invent new language that captures hopes, challenges and contributions. No previous writing experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to play with words.

Sue Mayo is a researcher and a theatre maker. In addition to teaching Applied Theatre at Goldsmith’s, she specialises in devising arts projects with community groups. She is currently exploring the theme of repair – of our stuff, ourselves and our communities, and is also leading Magic Me’s intergenerational women’s project, Generation Rebellion.
