Behavioural design is a sub-discipline of design, which is concerned with how design can shape, or be used to influence human behaviour.

All approaches of design for behaviour change acknowledge that artefacts have an important influence on human behaviour and/or behavioural decisions. They strongly draw on theories of behavioural change, including the division into personal, behavioural, and environmental characteristics as drivers for behaviour change.

Martina Mitz - UX Psychologist - UX Consultant

Martina is a clinical psychologist and UX Designer. Having completed her studies in 2007 she started working in the field of clinical Psychology. It was at this point that Martina’s academic background and her passion joined and she started a career as an UX Designer, being called “Conceptioner” at first.

Since then, Martina has not only contributed to the digital and service ecosystems of many recognisable companies (e.g. eBay, PayPal, Emirates Airlines, Volkswagen, Telekom, and many more), but she also helped selected Start-ups in Europe by forming and driving their Research, as well as contributing to their product or service strategy and definition.

Nikki Anderson - Senior User Researcher - fromAtoB

Following the completion of her Msters Degree in Psychology, Nikki was originally heading for a Ph.D. but soon decided to train as a User Experience Designer. Her journey includes roles at ALICE, Olapic, HelloFresh and Wiley Online Publishing and fromAtoB.

During this time, she led and conducted multiple generative research sessions, usability tests, and synthesis workshops, leaving companies with concretely actionable information to use to move forward.

After a few years of freelancing, she moved to Berlin a as a Senior User Researcher at fromAtoB as their first, and only, researcher. Nikki is also the founder of User Research Academy, which is a space to help new or junior level researchers break into the field.

Moritz Bittner - Senior UX Designer & Researcher - Zattoo

Moritz is a Senior UX Designer, Mentor, Author and Psychologist. Having finished his Masters degree he took his first role as a UX Designer and usability consultant at Ape Unit. Since then, he has worked in various roles and environments before starting at Zattoo where he works on Europes leading TV-Streaming platform.
