AI South West | November 2023

AI South West is a networking community for professionals working in or interested in AI, machine learning and data science.

Delivered in partnership with ISL Talent, the group moves around the region working with local partners to facilitate knowledge-sharing and network-building across the South West region.

We are delighted that Microsoft is now supporting AI South West and will be joining us at the event.

For the November 2023 edition of AI South West, we're heading to Cornwall to hear from some key experts in the AI ecosystem.

Wo King 

Founder and CEO , Hi9

Wo has been in tech for over 20 years, specialising in how AI can help people on low incomes access services. Hi9 is part of Google’s Start-up program and was built by Wo from the ground up. After finding funding he formed a highly skilled team that shared his beliefs and created a suite of products to overcome socio-economic challenges. Alongside this, Wo regularly delivers workshops around the South West that illustrate the ways in which AI can benefit businesses.

Dr. Vicky Root

Behavioural Science Lead, Good With

Vicky joined Good With after completing her PhD in Clinical Neuroscience. With a background in psychology, she has experience using theory to inform her statistical approach. During her PhD, she used experimental paradigms and modelling to predict and infer human behaviour.

Dr. Ellie Kallis

Co-founder and CSO, Good With

Good With is an award-winning financial wellbeing app, built by psychologists to alleviate financial stress and anxiety.

Tom Meyer

Director of Engineering, Ajar

Tom has built and led teams at Facebook/Meta and at numerous startups, and worked hands-on in product, front-end and infra.
