This group has been created from lived experience of loss and loneliness. We understand how isolating life can feel after the death of a child, and we don’t want any parent to face that journey alone.

The bear hug offers a safe, compassionate and welcoming space for parents who have lost a child under 21. It’s a place to share, listen, remember and find support with others who truly understand.

Each session includes gentle, optional activities to help you ease into the group, connect with other bereaved parents and remember your child in meaningful ways. There is never any pressure to talk, you are welcome exactly as you are. A warm welcome and refreshments are always provided.

We know attending a new group can feel daunting, especially in a sensitive setting. If you’re feeling anxious about coming along, please reach out. We’re here to support you before, during and after every session.
