What to expect:

TEDx events are local gatherings where TED-style talks bring people together from the local area and beyond to share ideas that create change in the community and ultimately in the wider world.

This year’s TEDx Bromley event will feature ten inspiring speakers sharing their ideas around the theme “Defying Expectations”. If you enjoy hearing new ideas, meeting new people or want to get inspired to make a difference locally and in the wider world, this is the event for you.

Prepare to have what you think you know about parenting, job applications, creativity and many other topics turned on its head. And in the breakout space, come to find out about our sponsors, local community groups and connect/network with like-minded people.

We have set up a private LinkedIn group to spark conversations and generate excitement ahead of the event, as well as allowing you to find out who’s coming and make connections before they arrive. We will invite you to join the group after you've bought your ticket.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase food and drink from local vendors on the day.

This year's venue:

TEDx Bromley 2026 will be held at Bromley High School for Girls. The talks will be shared from the 400-seater main hall, with exhibitors, food vendors and a networking space in the adjoining dining hall.

The school is within walking distance of Bickley and Petts Wood stations and on multiple bus routes. Parking is also available at the school and on adjoining roads.
