TEDx NHS 2024

Since 2016 TEDxNHS has sought to spark conversation and spread great ideas in health and care through the power of storytelling. Now we are back in 2024 for our 9^th event with an exciting line-up of speakers to inspire reflection and change.

This year, we are not just looking ahead—we're leaping into tomorrow with our visionary theme: "Forward."

Together, we will chart a course towards a brighter, healthier future that will leave you buzzing with optimism and ready to make a difference. The day

As with all of our events you will get a chance to hear impactful, thought provoking talks from our line up of dynamic speakers, alongside exciting and inspiring ideas to transform the NHS. You will also have the opportunity to meet others from across the country who have an interest in the health and care sector.

We know that, for many, it's a financially challenging time at the moment and we want to ensure our event remains accessible for all. This means we’ve reduced our ticket prices to lower than last year and we won’t be providing lunch. On the day of the event, we'll be happy to guide you to a variety of nearby dining options to suit all budgets. Our goal is to create an inclusive experience without compromising on quality or value.

The venue

We’re thrilled to have the Royal Institution as our venue this year. For over 200 years the Royal Institution has been creating space for the public and scientists to connect and explore science together. This historical venue has a long tradition around inspiring people to engage with science, including the famous Christmas Lectures.

TEDxNHS is a passion-driven initiative orchestrated by those working in health and care, who dedicate their personal time and energy outside of their regular duties. Our team of incredible volunteers, works tirelessly in their off-hours to bring this event to life. We are also deeply grateful for the invaluable support and generosity of our sponsors, as well as the funds raised through ticket sales. These resources are crucial in enabling us to host our inspiring events and produce high-quality TEDxNHS talks that reach a global audience. Every aspect of TEDxNHS, from planning to execution, is a labour of love carried out by NHS professionals who believe in the power of ideas to transform healthcare.

Need a more relaxed space?

Our Relaxed room tickets are different to our theatre tickets. In buying this ticket you will be able to experience TEDx NHS in a different way…

You will be seated within a different space to the main audience with the talks being streamed onto a large television.

This will be a relaxed space with less people. This may be ideal for those who are neuro-divergent, have people who they are caring for with them on the day or who like to get up and move or be creative whilst listening to our talks.

This will allow you to be able to enjoy the talks in a way that suits you.

In buying this ticket you will be unable to enter the theatre space at all during the event, this will be exclusively for our theatre ticket holders.

Please note:

• Talks will start promptly at 10:30am finish around 4:30pm, but there will be a drinks reception after this.

• Tickets are non-refundable

• If you can no longer attend and wish to give your ticket to a friend or colleague, we will be able to change the name on the ticket up until Tuesday 12 September. We will not be able to transfer tickets after this date.

• Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis - so get them quick!

• There are spaces for breastfeeding and prayer which are available for use during the day, please contact us if you think you will be needing these spaces.
