[TEDx] Creativity Beyond The Classroom (In-Person) | Sept 24, 2024 at 6pm [Academic]

Target Audience: TMU Students from all departments passionate about non-conventional career paths.

Description: “Creativity Beyond the Classroom” features business professionals and creative personas who have pursued unconventional career paths and broken barriers. This event aims to educate students that career changes are always possible and that they should never feel confined to a single career path. This aligns with what our group, TEDxTorontoMetU, represents: striving to share and spread unconventional and innovative ideas.

There will be a panel discussion, followed by collaborative case analysis, where a small group of attendees will collaborate alongside a networker to discuss relevant issues/cases. To conclude, there will be a networking session where attendees can engage in one-on-one conversations with networkers.

The event will take place on September 24th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ted Rogers School of Management in the TRSM Commons Room (TRS 1-148 & 1-150). If you have any questions, require any additional information, or require any accommodation please let us know.

Outcome: Students will be able to retain knowledge and gain industry insight as to how to nurture their ideas and leverage them into their careers.

No-Show Policy: As a Ted Rogers School student, we prepare you for the industry and that includes your level of professionalism as a business student. That is why we have a No-Show Policy in place, meaning when you register for an event you are 100% committed to attending. If you sign up and do not attend three events without cancelling at least 24 hours in advance, you will no longer be able to attend our futurue events until you meet with the TRSM Manager of Student Engagement.

Cancelling your Registration: If you sign-up and do not attend, you are taking away a spot from another student. So, if you can no longer attend, you need to cancel your ticket in advance through the confirmation email you received to avoid being put on the no-show list.
