TEDxTorontoMetU: The Price of Tomorrow

Target Audience: Students, young professionals, and curious thinkers interested in business, technology, society, and personal growth, particularly those navigating career decisions, identity, and the pressure to “become” in a fast moving world.

Description: TEDxTorontoMetU 2026: The Price of Tomorrow — is a one day immersive conference designed to challenge how we think about growth, success, productivity, and progress.

Through TED talks, workshops, curated networking sessions, and interactive experiences, attendees will explore the often ignored space between who we were and who we are becoming. Rather than rushing toward the next milestone, this conference invites reflection on the personal, social, and ethical costs of constant forward motion, and whether those costs are worth paying. In addition to talks, attendees will engage in structured and open networking sessions, industry conversations, and experiential activations that encourage meaningful dialogue, personal insight, and genuine connection.

In addition to the main conference program, attendees will be invited to a pre-conference networking dinner focused on meaningful conversation, relationship building, and shared reflection.

Outcome: By attending, participants will:

• Gain new perspectives on success, ambition, and long term fulfillment
• Engage directly with speakers, industry professionals, and peers

Payment Information

Ticket registration is used to confirm attendance only. Payments will not be processed through the ticketing platform. Registered attendees will receive a separate email with a payment link and next steps.

No-Show Policy: As a Ted Rogers School student, we prepare you for the industry and that includes your level of professionalism as a business student. That is why we have a No-Show Policy in place, meaning when you register for an event you are 100% committed to attending. If you sign up and do not attend three events without cancelling at least 24 hours in advance, you will no longer be able to attend our futurue events until you meet with the TRSM Manager of Student Engagement.

Cancelling your Registration: If you sign-up and do not attend, you are taking away a spot from another student. So, if you can no longer attend, you need to cancel your ticket in advance through the confirmation email you received to avoid being put on the no-show list.
