Warmup / Beginners Teaching: 7:00-8:00 pm This is for people with little to no experience. We will begin with basic steps + review of previous dances learned. We will also be teaching some Israeli / International line dances.
Open session: 8:00-9:00 pm (Will include some additional teaching and fun).
We will be in the Social Hall. You can ring the doorbell at the front gate (SE corner of the property).
Please wear the correct shoes for dancing such as sneakers.
We are piloting a new app for making Israeli Dance requests during the open part of our session, courtesy of David Karger. The app runs from your browser. You don't need to download anything. All you have to do is follow the link below.
Go ahead and enter your requests for this session. We will try to incorporate some into this week's playlist.
David writes: "We're trying out a new app to let you manage requests at your dance sessions. We'll collect requests for the two days before the session, and use them to help us choose what to play. The link is https://ifd.csail.mit.edu/Request/?session=rokdimaz. (Be sure you are on this session). Once you log in, you'll be able to mark dances you'd like to request---as well as seeing everyone else's requests so you can upvote them. Additional detail: make sure to check in to the session as well, so the leaders see your requests."
David Karger is a dancer and computer scientist in Boston; he thought this would be a good hobby project.
