Temple of Sound

Normally in Temple events, when feasting on each other we tend to indulge in senses of sight, touch, smell and taste. In this Temple we invite you to allow for sound to play a special role in your ecstatic experience, be it by yourself or with partner(s). Come equipped with your favourite poetry and some sultry lines you could seductively (or soothingly!) whisper to a lover’s ear. To add an extra special touch the night will feature a live musician playing for us while we play the exquisite instruments of our own bodies - and each other’s 🥰🎶

What to expect from the night: an opening circle followed by several embodied connection exercises to help you feel more grounded in yourself, experience the sensuality of boundaries and consent and meet other participants in a sensual way. Afterwards we will have a facilitated open play space where you are welcome to explore your desires, feel into what feels good in your body and learn new things about slow, sensual connection.

What you may see in the space, depending on the flavour of the night (which we can never fully predict!): sensual and sexual play, in couples and groups. This doesn’t mean you’re expected to participate in this way. Whatever you have to bring on the night, emotionally, physically, spiritually is important, welcome and a valued contribution to the collective energy. It could be that you’re in the mood for a hug or conversation. Or on the contrary, feeling quite sexual. In our temples there’s space for everything!

We welcome all with a conscious, positive, curious approach to their sexuality, experience of having participated in similar spaces is very welcome although not a must. As long as you are conscious of your boundaries and willing to play honouring the sacredness of your own sexual being - as well as that of another - we will welcome you with open arms, no matter age, race, social background or sexual orientation.

The temple offers:

- Conscious, sober, safe space;

- Opportunity to practice asking for what you desire and to communicate clearly your consent;

- An invitation to bring your gifts and talents and to serve other than to perform;

- We'll provide structures that will make it easier for you to experiment and interact with others.

Practical details:

- We recommend that you to take a lateral flow test on the day to ensure safety of fellow participants.

- This is a sober event, please don’t consume any drugs or alcohol on the day. Soft drinks and light snacks will be provided.

- We will aim to keep the event gender balanced even though genderless and non-binary beings are warmly invited.

- Some safer sex materials (such as condoms), lube and coconut oil will be provided but please feel free to bring anything you own you might like to use on the night.

- Dress in something sexy but comfortable, nightwear/lingerie and boxers will work fine.

About your host:

Paulina likes to call herself a Transcendental Whore. She is a keen practitioner and student of tantra, shamanism, BDSM and other forms of conscious sexuality with organisations such as ISTA (also as an assistant). She has experience as temple night host and facilitator, circling facilitator (meditation in connection), as well as a fetish model and burlesque artist! 💃 She’s passionate about open and wholesome sexual expression and creating spaces where others can access their full sensual and sexual potential. She’s also a deeply spiritual being. She’s recently launched her first business book, “Laid Bare: what the business leader learnt from the stripper”.

Having only been to one temple night previously that didn't seem to resonate, I was hesitant and anxious about attending another. However, I needn't have worried. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Paulina, Margot and their helpers and immediately felt welcomed and included. After savouring some cacao and partaking in some introductory exercises to get everyone more acquainted, it turned into a beautiful warm loving evening with copious amounts of social, sensual and intimate exchanges. I was made to feel very welcome, despite being late to arrive, not just by the hosts but by everyone present. The acceptance of me as a person, probably at the extreme upper end of the age range present, was also profound.
