It's a midweek spectacular as two cracking North East acts light up the Base Camp stage.

Once described as “dark pop geniuses” the sound of WARD is a bricolage of bitter sweet, ethereal, melodic, shoe-gazing indie-pop.

The Artisans mix and match Teesside and Tyneside, downbeat tales and upbeat jangly melodies. Reminiscent of the 80s side of indiepop, expect to hear unheard songs from their soon-to-be-released second album and some from their 2019 debut which received great praise including “contender for the best indie pop album of the year".
