9th Annual Battle of the Bubbles

Dear all,

On the 17th of December we'll repeat our very popular "Battle of the Bubbles" pairing off four good Champagnes against a few great Bubbles-That-Must-Not-Be-Called-Champagnes from the rest of the world. This will be the 9th edition of this tasting, which never fails to challenge and surprise people.

This blind tasting will feature eight sparkling wines, most made in the same traditional method as Champagne, but from a few places you might not expect to make great sparkling wines. To keep things fair and fun, we'll cover the labels up-front and ask you to rate each as we go and then and only then will we unveil each wine, after you've tasted and scored it. Who do you think will win this year? Champagne or Rest of World?

An early-bird wine will reward those who arrive early and help us start on time. ;-)

As usual, the wine will be paired with plenty of good food.

This tasting with dinner costs 80 euros. Participation is limited to the first 30 people who sign up.
