Lindsay Reade in Conversation with Terry Christian

Lindsay co-founded Factory Records with Tony Wilson. She put out the first OMD record. She ran Factory’s overseas licensing while managing 52nd Street — Manchester’s finest funk export. Then, after her split from Wilson, she went on to co-manage The Stone Roses and land them their first ever record deal, right as Madchester was kicking off. She’s written the books too — literally. Torn Apart (the Ian Curtis biography, with Mick Middles), Mr Manchester and the Factory Girl (her account of life with Wilson), and her new one, A Continual Farewell — decades of correspondence stretching back to punk year zero, 1976.

Hosting is Terry Christian — proud Mancunian, and a man who was there for a fair chunk of it himself. He’ll drag out the stories you haven’t heard, the chaos behind the records, the politics, the fallings-out, the brilliance, and the bits that got left on the cutting room floor.
