Are there old, overgrown fruit trees on or near your property? Don’t give up on them! Join us for this pruning workshop focused on renovating mature or neglected fruit trees.
This workshop is appropriate for those who have not pruned fruit trees before or those who have just a little experience. Instructors will discuss basic pruning practices and required tools. This type of pruning often involves ladders, pole pruners and sometimes climbing but there will be lots of opportunities to learn and practice cuts from the ground level. Participants should dress warmly and bring their pruners, loppers, and saws if they have them. (Instructors will also have a few tools to share.)
This workshop is held outside. March weather can be fickle, so please bring layers and waterproof clothing if possible! In the event of snow or severe weather, the workshop date will move to Sunday, March 31 at 10 am.
Please email us if you have any questions about accessibility for this event.
Registrants can expect to receive an email reminder with any additional details ahead of the workshop date. Questions? Email events@mofga.org.
