Sat Oct 26, 2024 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
MOFGA Campus, 294 Crosby Brook Road Unity, ME 04988
Description
Learn to incorporate all those preserves you stored away into your cooking during this fun, hands-on cooking workshop and dinner party. From mocktails to meat glazes, try new cooking techniques that will ensure your season's bounty goes to good and delicious use. Plus, enjoy a delicious full-course dinner on the MOFGA grounds as the workshop's culmination. This hands-on workshop is taught by Autumn Joy Jackson, occasional professional baker, home cook, and one of the leads on 2024's amazing F&H Day lunch!
This workshop will have a particular focus on using fruit + red pepper jams! To learn how to make those, join us at Food Fork Lab in early October; and visit our events calendar to check out other workshops in this year's preservation series.
*Please note that this dinner will include locally-sourced and humanely-processed meat. For any questions about ingredients, especially relating to allergies, intolerances, or culturally important food handling practices, please reach out to events@mofga.org. With advanced notice, we may be able to make accommodations.
This sliding scale registration is designed to keep the class as accessible as possible while also covering MOFGA's costs. Recommended price for non-members is $65; recommended price for members is $55. BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community members and members of the MOFGA Journeyperson program are welcome to register at no-cost.
