Gather & Grow Tour: Berwick Community Garden

Join MOFGA at Berwick Community Garden for a Gather & Grow Tour! In this year’s Gather & Grow series, garden tour hosts will share information about their gardening practices in general, and through the lens of climate change adaptation.

About the gardens:

The Berwick Community Garden is a volunteer-driven nonprofit located in the heart of Berwick, dedicated to growing fresh, organic food while building strong community connections. Designed with a welcoming, park-like atmosphere, the garden offers a beautiful and peaceful gathering space where people can relax, learn, and connect with nature and one another.

Using sustainable and regenerative gardening practices, the garden promotes healthy soil, supports pollinators, and utilizes integrated pest management to create a thriving and environmentally responsible growing space. Through shared garden beds, educational programs, and partnerships with local food assistance organizations, the garden provides residents of all ages and incomes with access to healthy produce, hands-on learning opportunities, and a welcoming place to gather.

The garden is designed to be wheelchair accessible so community members of all abilities can participate. Each season, the organization also donates thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables to neighbors in need, local soup kitchens, and food pantries.
