PHEM MASTERCLASS: Airway Management

This session provides refresher training in airway management, aligned with contemporary difficult airway principles. The session focuses on airway assessment, optimisation of patient positioning, and effective intubation technique, including the use of video laryngoscopy. Emphasis is placed on preparation and planning, predicting difficult airways and maximising first-pass success.

Please note - This course is designed for clinicians operating at, or progressing towards, Levels 5–6 of the Skills for Health Career Framework.

This may also include healthcare and medical students in the final year of their programme (e.g. third-year student paramedics and final-year medical students), where the course content is appropriate to their stage of training.
