Menopause & Me: Well Read, Well Supported
Menopause & Me is setting up camp in the gorgeous Bridge Street Books.
This is an in-person support group for people experiencing menopause who want honest conversation, real support, and a space where nobody looks at you blankly when you say your brain has gone missing, your sleep has packed a bag, or your inner dragon is doing laps.
Menopause can affect everything — mood, sleep, confidence, relationships, work, energy, and the ability to walk into a room and remember why the flaming hell you’re there. You’re not imagining it, and you do not have to figure it out alone.
Menopause & Me is a relaxed, welcoming group where we talk openly and without shame. No judgement. No pressure. No miracle cures. Just evidence-informed, human, practical support — and a room full of people who get it.
We’re delighted to welcome Amanda, a professional bra fitter, to this Menopause & Me event for some real, practical support — quite literally.
As our bodies change through perimenopause, menopause and beyond, so can our shape, comfort and confidence. Amanda will be joining us to talk all things bra fit, support, comfort, and why so many of us are walking around in bras that deserve immediate retirement.
No judgement, no awkwardness, no pressure — just friendly advice, useful tips, and a chance to feel a bit more comfortable in your own skin.
Because sometimes support means a listening ear… and sometimes it means getting the girls properly sorted.
Come along if you want to:
- Connect with others going through similar experiences
- Talk honestly about symptoms, emotions, identity, relationships, work, and wellbeing
- Feel listened to, understood, and taken seriously
- Pick up practical tips, signposting, and encouragement
- Have a brew, a breather, and a bloody good reminder that you’re not alone
This is peer support, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We’ll always encourage you to speak to a qualified healthcare professional where needed — but we’ll also help you feel more confident asking questions, exploring options, and advocating for yourself.
Come as you are — tired, wired, sweaty, teary, raging, curious, confused, or all of the above before breakfast.
