That THiNG is returning to Liverpool for another unforgettable night dedicated to innovation, inspiration, and real impact.  This is a platform that merges enterprise, culture, and community, spotlighting ideas and creators from the Global Majority. A rebrand of Culture SOUP, an off shoot of Liverpool SOUP. It’s the same, but different, were focusing on creative innovation, a perspective shift from the global community that spotlights ambitions and a passion for THiNGs’

This unique, one-of-a-kind live event brings together visionaries, performers, and changemakers to pitch ideas, share their talents, and secure a micro fund from audience powered voting.

What is That THiNG?

That THiNG is a one-of-a-kind aspirational event where creatives, entrepreneurs, and social innovators pitch their ideas, perform, and connect with an engaged audience.— whether that’s a business idea, creative project, or social initiative - a plethora of THiNGs. Unlike traditional networking events, That THiNG fuses entertainment, collaboration, and innovation into a single night, where the power is in the hands of the crowd.

Audience members are at the heart of it. Every ticket includes a vote, and the pitch with the most support receives a cash prize of up to £2,000 (depending on ticket sales, donations and sponsorship). Runners-up also receive a small contribution for their time.

It’s a space for new voices, bold thinkers, and grassroots innovation to shine, with a real community feel.

How It Works

1. Four individuals take the stage to pitch their creative or aspirational-driven ideas.
2. Four Live performances from musicians, comedians, and artists to keep the energy high.
3. The audience enjoys an evening of networking, entertainment, and a small, tasty plate from local vendors.
4. Every audience member votes for their favourite pitch, with the winner receiving the acquired funding to make it happen.
