Recovery Riot at the Southern Theatre

Whether you're sober, supporting a sober friend, or just don't feel like drinking, Recovery Riot is a comedy show that proves sobriety doesn't have to be boring. 10,000 Laughs is ever so proud to present: Recovery Riot! 

When people are new to sobriety, one of the first questions they ask themselves is, "If I don't drink, what do I do for fun?" The purpose of Recovery Riot is to spotlight some of the funniest local and national talents in stand-up, in an environment that's comfortable for sober folks. There's no booze at the venue, not jokes glorifying drugs and alcohol, and best of all the proceeds benefit local recovery organizations in Minnesota.

This year, we're proud to support True North Recovery, an organization operating women's sober houses since 2015. True North Recovery helps women of all ages to get on a path to long-term recovery by building a 12-step based recovery program, a daily spiritual practice, mindfulness and meditation, balance, self-care, relationships/codependency, self- sufficiency, and being useful to others. Over the past five years, they have helped more than 200 women find long term recovery.
