The Bet: Film and Panel Discussion

The Bet, both shot and produced in the greater Santa Barbara area, features a cast and crew comprised almost entirely of people who live in our community. Local resident, Finola Hughes (General Hospital) makes her directorial debut in this story of teenager Addison (Scott Hagood), Libby his single mother (Portia Thomas), and Collier her aging father (Tim Whitcomb), who are all searching for love. In a misguided but well-meaning attempt to encourage his grandson to take more chances, the grandfather enters a wager with the teen to see who can “score” with a woman first. This story both pulls at your heartstrings and makes you laugh.
