Baldrige Examiner Training Experience

Tue Jun 16, 2026 - Tue Jul 21, 2026 Online

The Alliance for Performance Excellence is pleased to offer the opportunity for individuals to audit the 2026 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners Training through a program called the “Baldrige Examiner Training Experience” (BETE).

Designed to support the national Baldrige Award process, this training provides participants with an inside look at the 2026 Baldrige Award Criteria (a subset of the Baldrige Framework), the 2026 Scoring Rubrics, the examiner evaluation process, and the principles of performance excellence used by Baldrige examiners across the country.

The training experience will take place June 16 through July 21, 2026, and includes:

  • Weekly one-hour live online sessions (all sessions held 6:00–7:00 p.m. EDT, beginning Tuesday, June 16; all sessions will be recorded and made available if you are unable to attend)
  • 15+ asynchronous online learning modules completed on your own schedule
  • Exposure to the Baldrige evaluation process and systems thinking approach
  • Opportunities to deepen understanding of organizational performance excellence practices
  • Opportunities to meet and network with leaders and professionals from organizations and communities of all sizes and sectors who are interested in improving themselves, their teams, and their organizations and communities

This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in learning more about Baldrige, strengthening their understanding of performance excellence, or exploring future involvement in the Baldrige examiner process. BETE is open to anyone, including non-U.S. citizens and residents.

Registration is $1,200 for U.S.-based learners and $2,400 for international learners.

Registered learners will receive additional course information, audit participation details, and instructions for accessing the training experience prior to the first live session.

Please note: BETE audit participants will observe and participate in the learning experience but will not serve as official Baldrige examiners as part of the 2026 Award cycle.
