Weekend Harmony Singing Workshop with Katy Bennett

Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 November 2026 · 10.00 am for 10:30 am start – 4:30 pm (4.00pm finish on Sunday) at The Angel Hall

Join us for a joyful, full weekend of harmony singing with Katy Bennett — singer-songwriter, choir leader and workshop dynamo based in Birmingham. She’ll bring a collection of her own a cappella songs and arrangements and guide us through lively, ear-based harmony singing in a fun, relaxed and engaging atmosphere. No music reading required!

Bring a packed lunch and water bottle (there is good drinking water available at The Angel Hall); we’ll provide tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day.
You’ll leave the weekend with songs and harmonies stuck in your head (in the best way!), new singing friends, and a heart full of song.

Schedule

• Arrive: from 10:00 am — settle in with a cup of tea and a chat
• Singing begins: 10:30 am
• Lunch break: 1:00 – 2:00 pm (please bring a packed lunch)
• There will be a couple of 20-minute tea breaks during the day
• Finish times: 4:30 pm on Saturday · 4:00 pm on Sunday

🌟 About Katy Bennett

Katy Bennett (Katy Rose Bennett) is a Birmingham-based singer, songwriter, arranger and choir leader with over 20 years of song writing experience and more than 15 years of leading choirs and singing workshops.
She runs community choirs (such as Moseley Voices) and teaches songs by ear, welcoming all voices and all levels.
Her work often features multi-layered a cappella arrangements, vocal harmonies and an inclusive, spirited teaching style that’s energetic, warm and joyful.
Katy believes in the power of singing together to connect, uplift and inspire — and in this workshop you’ll feel that belief in every note.
