Moving Voices 26 June 2026 with special guest Dave Hubble / Bitterne Station Community Hub

Moving Voices is Southampton’s longest-running open mic, held in the unique setting of a converted train station waiting room. It’s a brave space and a safer space - welcoming, intimate, and fiercely inclusive. Whether you're taking the mic for the first time or experimenting with something new, you'll find a small but mighty audience ready to cheer you on.

We centre LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent and marginalised voices, celebrate diversity, and create room for stories that don’t always get heard, even the messy and raw ones. Come as you are, share what you’ve got - poems, songs, stories, or something in between.

Jez is a nonbinary poet and multidisciplinary artist whose works treads liminal worlds of symbolism, ritual, wildness and activism. 

Special guest Dave Hubble

Long time regular and officially the most sweary of our poets, Dave's irreverent poetry focuses on humour, politics, autobiography and everyday observation.  He is also fond of experimental wordplay; N+ poems, univocalism, that kind of thing.

Booking is highly advised as the venue is small and the event is popular.
