Moving Voices 25 Sept 2026 with Claire H & Dave Hubble / Bitterne Station Community Hub / Fri 25/9.26

Fri 25 Sep 2026 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Bitterne Station Community Hub, SO18 1GG

Moving Voices is Southampton’s longest-running open mic, held in the unique setting of a converted train station waiting room. It’s a brave space and a safer space - welcoming, intimate, and fiercely inclusive. Whether you're taking the mic for the first time or experimenting with something new, you'll find a small but mighty audience ready to cheer you on.

We centre LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent and marginalised voices, celebrate diversity, and create room for stories that don’t always get heard, even the messy and raw ones. Come as you are, share what you’ve got - poems, songs, stories, or something in between.

Sign up from 7pm.

Hosted by Jez Franck

Claire H 'the Poet' is a spoken word artist from Merseyside whose work explores identity, belonging, addiction, recovery, neurodivergence, and the natural world. Moving between confessional punk poetics, surreal humour, and moments of hard-won hope, she has performed across the UK and internationally, including at COP28 and the House of Commons. Her debut collection, Coffee on a Bench, became an Amazon No.1 bestseller.
