Bunkerfest 3 is here! A Grassroots-powered live music, spoken word, artists, makers and community spirit, celebrating Southampton's homegrown culture while raising funds for The Art House Community Pantry, stopping food waste and fighting food poverty.

Expect an eclectic, high-energy line-up, fierce independence, and the signature Bunker178 production: wonderful sound, intimate staging, and a welcoming vibe. 

From midday: live music and spoken word, plus stalls, art, vegan food and community groups.

Music stage: 

• Charlie Smith  – Hampshire acoustic alternative singer-songwriter, grassroots music champion and Bunkerfest host, bringing dry wit, DIY heart and a few tunes between sets to keep the whole glorious contraption moving.
• Luke Richards – Opening Bunkerfest with a rare live outing of personal original songs drawn from life, experience and thirty years of allegedly playing guitar badly.
• yvng mxlly – Raw, fiercely DIY alternative hip-hop, emo and gothic sounds exploring love, heartbreak and the messier corners of being human.
• SUSHiMOOG – Balloon-like aliens from Sagittarius B2 dispensing wisdom through an outrageous collision of space-disco-funk-rock-electro, Moogs, bouzouki, Arabic melodies and opera.
• Theo Dussek – Trans, bi pirate troubadour spinning acoustic folk tales of sailors, sweethearts, wandering souls and the irresistible pull of oceans and rivers.
• Hedgehogs – Southampton acoustic duo Natalie Fisk and James Carey serving up upbeat folk, blues and Americana with gorgeous vocal harmonies at its heart.
• Mooneyez – Quirky relationship comedy meets ridiculously catchy indie jams, with songs likely to follow you home whether invited or not.
• The Guillotine Union Boys – Southampton’s riotous rebel-folk rabble-rousers, mixing banjo and mandolin with country, gospel, rockabilly, bluegrass and union-style agitation.

SpeakEasy stage:

Our SpeakEasy stage this year is 100% spoken word performers from the LGBTQIA+ community

Great Aunt Tranni (Nicola Beck) – Punk poetry, sharp wit, amused disdain and choice expletives from the family eccentric who is very disappointed indeed, and will also be keeping the Bunkerfest poetry stage in line.

Haribo – Poet, storyteller, occasional singer and creator of ludicrous fan fiction, waging a gleefully unruly war on injustice, prejudice, modernity and gated toilets.

Kristianne Drake – Tender, punk-fuelled poetry of resilience, reconciliation and protest from a performer who refuses to remain silent, but does insist their socks match.

Andy White – Southampton poet weaving climate, queer experience, the natural world, folklore and myth into thoughtful, engaging performance poetry.

Katt Roberts – Filipino British poet and experienced performer bringing words of self-empowerment, resilience and inspiration to the Bunkerfest stage.

Harley Truslove – Award-winning local poet, performer and self-confessed general nuisance, serving up work audiences have described, magnificently, as “surprisingly good”.

Cally Ann Kerr – Personal meets political in funny, frank and fabulous performance poetry exploring transition, gender, society and the glorious roller coaster of being trans.

Tickets are priced cheaper in advance to encourage prebooking, which makes planning easier for us - you will also get a downloadable programme :) Please choose the price that best suits your finances. 

We do not want anyone to miss out on Bunkerfest due to lack of funds. If you are unable to afford a ticket, please book in advance, choosing the Solidarity advance ticket and input the code 'solidarity4eva' to receive a 100% discounted ticket. We do not require any proof of income for this - just use it if you need it. 

This event is open to families, children under 18 must be accompanied at all times. Some performances on the spoken word ad music stage may have adult themes and contain strong language, please use your discretion if coming with young kids.

Bunkerfest raises vital dosh for us to run our weekly Friday pantry at Bitterne Station Community Hub - diverting food from becoming waste and sharing it with anyone who needs it, along with a warm space for people to enjoy a hot drink, a soup, and grab other essentials like toiletries, menstrual products and warm outerwear in the winter.We don't ask for proof of need, there are no forms, we do not ask for your name or any other details - and anyone is welcome!
