Join us for a private guided visit to one of Cambridge’s most breathtaking interiors: the Wren Library at Trinity College. Set above the River Cam in Sir Christopher Wren’s elegant classical building, the library is celebrated not only for its architecture, but also for the extraordinary treasures it safeguards.
The visit will explore books as works of art, thinking about how book design and illustration have evolved across the centuries from manuscripts, early printed books through to modernist works.
This is a rare opportunity to see and discuss examples of different books under the guidance of the Sub-Librarian of the Wren library.
We will meet you outside the Porter's Lodge, Trinity College, Trinity Street, at 9.50am ready to start the tour at 10am.
COST: The cost of the visit is £12.50 per person (including a non-refundable booking fee)
The group size is limited to 18 places on a first come first served basis.
REFUNDS, less the booking fee, will only be offered if your place can be taken by someone on the waiting list.
In the event of insufficient ticket sales, the event will be cancelled and money refunded.
ACCESSIBILITY: the library is on the first floor up a flight of stairs with a handrail. There is no lift available.
