Following our delightful Lecture "Shoes in Art", by Mary Alexander, we are off to visit Northampton and surrounds!
Please meet our Coach, at the Cambridge, Madingley Park and Ride, no Later 8:30 AM.
After a pleasant coach ride north, we will arrive at the Northampton Museum and Gallery at approximately 10:00AM. Shoe Curator, Rebecca Shawcross will treat us to a lecture: "Overview of the shoe collection illustrated with examples". There will then be free time to independently explore the shoe collection or other collections in the museum and/or take morning refreshments at the museum café (self funded).

If shoes are not your thing, you are welcome to skip the lecture and enjoy the museum's unique collections independently.
We will depart the museum at 11:45 AM for the charming Althorp Coaching Inn, Great Brington. Lunch will be self funded. Attendees will be sent a menu and order form closer to the date.
1:45 PM short drive to Althorp Estate, ancestral home of the Spencer's.
Collect audio guide and self tour the house and gardens (Including the Diana, Princess of Wales memorial) at your leisure

This event is open to our members, and their friends and families. Refunds can only be made (less booking fee) if your place can be taken from someone on the waiting list.
