Life drawing at Juice Studios (Saturday Afternoons)

Long weekend sessions are back!

✨️ Saturday 22nd August 2026 (2-5pm -arrive from 1:30pm to set up) ✨️

What: This is a 3 hour, self-guided session for those who wish to create more detailed artworks than our shorter evening sessions.

Our experienced life model will hold one (1) long pose throughout the whole session, with regular stretch/ comfort breaks (approximately every 30-40 minutes).

Unlike our other sessions, we try to create an interesting composition on our Saturday sessions with props and a bit of a backdrop so your paintings and drawings have more elements to add visual interest.

Please bring your own art materials, including newspaper or rags to protect the floor from paint, and an easel if you need one. We have plenty of drawing boards and have limited tables, if you need one (please get in touch in advance if you require a table).

When:  These sessions run from 2-5pm. Doors open from 1:30pm to set up. Please arrive no later than 1:45pm to be let into the building and give yourself time to set up and get settled in.

Please bring your own art materials and paper/canvas. There will be no art materials provided for this session. 

There are only 7 spots for participants so everyone has space to draw/ paint/create digital art etc. Booking in advance is necessary as these events can sell out quickly.

Please get in touch via email (or text if you have The Arty Poser's number) if you will be late as you will need to be let into the building at the next break as to not disturb the session.

Where: Juice Studios, 61A Humber Street, Hull. HU1 1TG (The door to left of Form shop, opposite Cuban Pete's bar & restaurant).

Parking and travel: There is parking available at the Fruit Market parking structure (accessible via Blackfriargate) which is approximately 5 mins walk to the venue. It's is just £3 all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Humber Street is approximately 25 minutes walk from Paragon bus and train station.

Extra info: Tickets are £25 to cover studio hire and model fee (booking fees are included in the price). Please read all the rules before purchasing your ticket.

A selection of teas (including herbal teas) and coffee (including decaf) are available in the break for anyone who would like a hot drink (self-serve and included in ticket price).  You are welcome to bring something specific to drink if you prefer/require it.

The Arty Poser accepts no liability for allergens contained within the drinks or snacks provided. You are welcome to read package labels before selecting your drink. You are welcome to bring your own soft drinks/dry snacks (for the break). The Arty Poser often brings fancy, gluten free, vegan biscuits.

Rules/T&Cs

The Venue:

• Juice Studios is a closed art studio where artists rent out spaces to work and organisers use the space to run workshops for the public.

• We do not give building codes out to anyone but staff for the safety and privacy of the artist who work at Juice Studios.

• If you find yourself running late, you should get in touch as soon as you know you will miss the start time. Please be advised that you may need to wait outside until a break between poses to be let into the building, as to not disrupt the flow of the session.

• The Arty Poser reserves the right to remove anyone who's behaviour towards them, the model or other customers constitutes as disrespectful, bullying or harassment, without a refund
• Booking tickets in advance is necessary to attend these sessions.

• Mobile phones/recording devices are to be put away while the model is nude and no photography or recording of the model are allowed at any time by ticket holders. There may be pictures of the event taken for social media, if you wish to have your face blurred/cropped out, please let The Arty Poser know in advance if this is an issue.

• Model etiquette: Under no circumstances is anyone to touch the model -either clothed or nude. These are professional art models at work and anyone deemed to be creating a hostile work environment will be asked to leave without a refund. This includes wolf-whistling or making comments, positive or negative, about the models body. If you must compliment them, praise the poses they create or how still they can stay.

• Models are fully nude so we recommend that these events are for over 18s. If you have a relative of 16+ who wants to come with you, allowances can be made with a supervising adult -we don't discourage those truly wanting to participate.

• As tickets are limited, there are no refunds available, and tickets cannot be re-advertised for you, however if you can't attend and can get a friend to come in your place, you may arrange a swap between yourselves. Please contact The Arty Poser before the start of the event to advise if this is the case as valid tickets may need to be shown for entry.

Accessibility:

• If anyone has any disabilities that may need accommodations, please get in touch before buying a ticket so we can make sure this event is suitable for you and your needs, as we are unable to give refunds. • Juice Studios is located on the first floor of 61A Humber Street. Juice Studios is a wheelchair friendly space with an elevator to the first floor (where the session is held). There is a disabled toilet for those who need it. The toilets are just a few steps (approximately 3-5 meters) from the life drawing room.

• The toilets at Juice are individual cubicles used by all genders. 

•  If you are extremely hard of hearing/deaf, you are welcome to join us but please note any interpreters will need to buy a ticket for themselves as space is limited (I can offer a discount for interpreters if you get in touch). Though The Arty Poser can give you basic instructions about the evening in BSL (such as times and the what is happening next) they are not a qualified interpreter. Please note there will be music played during the event.  

With 12+ years experience, The Arty Poser is known for working as a professional, full time art model, tutor and organiser.
