What: This is a unique event where all attendees will show up to draw from life (as usual), but there is a twist: everyone who participates in this event will spend 20-30 minutes of the session modelling nude for the group. There will be a randomised running order (usually drawing numbers out of a hat/mug) and then we can determine how many poses you will do for your time-slot. Experienced models may be asked to do longer/shorter poses to create variation on the night.

There are only 6 tickets available for these sessions and they always sell out fast. Great for new & experienced models to draw other models and practice new poses in a slightly more casual setting but mostly it's a bit of fun. All body types welcome. All artistic abilities welcome.

Model swap tickets are £11.50 each.

New to drawing and don't have art materials? No problem! Select the ticket "+ art materials" for £13.50 and basic art materials will be provided for you.

[UPDATE: Booking and payment processing fees (£1.50) are now included in the price so there are no hidden fees at the checkout.] There's an option to donate towards discounted hardship tickets for other life drawing events but this is not mandatory. Please put 0 in the donation box if you do not wish to donate. There is never any obligation or expectation.

Please note: by purchasing a ticket you are volunteering to pose naked (at the very least in your underwear to be fair to the other participants) as a condition of participation in this session. This session is strictly for over 18s only.

***If you are lucky enough to look under 25 we may ID you. Please bring ID if you think this is a possibility. We have the right to refuse participation for under 18s.***

When: There will be 4 of these models-only life drawing evening sessions in 2026:

• Thursday 2nd April,

• Thursday 2nd July,

• Thursday 1st October &

• Thursday 3rd December.

These sessions run from 6pm-9pm. Please arrive by 5.45pm at the latest to get set up so I can let you into the building. We aim to be starting by 6pm and we plan to go to the pub across the street for a quick drink afterwards (participation optional). It seems only right to have a de-brief together after de-briefing in front of eachother.

• You will need to bring:
• • 1 x Robe or sarong
• • 1 x towel/ blanket to stand/sit on
• • Drawing materials (when you are not modelling, you will be drawing the other models and will need to bring your own paper, pencils, charcoal etc. Basic supplies can be provided as an add on with your ticket or you can bring £2 (cash) on the night.

• Make sure you are clean. It is a small room and in order to make this a pleasant experience for everyone you should be showered as close to arriving as possible. If you need to apply deodorant you will need to do it before you enter the life drawing room. There is an out door balcony at Juice should you need to spray aerosols. This is to prevent breathing difficulties in a confined space.

Where: Juice Studios, 61A Humber Street, Hull. HU1 1TG (The door to left of Form shop, opposite Cuban Pete's bar & restaurant).

Parking and travel: There is parking available at the Fruit Market parking structure (accessible via Blackfriargate). which is approximately 3 mins walk to the venue. Humber Street is approximately 25 minutes walk from Paragon bus and train station.

Event Rules:

**If you would like to be considered for this event or events like this in future and tickets have sold out, please join the waitlist to be emailed about cancellations and extra dates.**

• Booking tickets in advance is necessary to attend this event.

• We do not give building codes out to anyone but staff for the safety and privacy of the artist who work at Juice Studios.

• If you find yourself running late, you should get in touch (theartyposer@gmail.com) as soon as you know you will miss the start time. Please be advised that you may need to wait outside until a break between poses to be let into the building, as to not disrupt the flow of the session.

• Mobile phones/recording devices are to be put away while the models are nude and no photography or recording of the models are allowed at any time by ticket holders. There may be pictures of people drawingvat the event, taken for social media, if you wish to have your face blurred/cropped out, please let The Arty Poser know in advance if this is an issue.

Model etiquette: 

• Under no circumstances is anyone to touch the models -either clothed or nude. These are people volunteering to model and anyone deemed to be creating a hostile environment will be asked to leave without a refund. This includes wolf-whistling or making comments, positive or negative, about the models' bodies. If you must compliment them, praise the poses they create or how still they can stay.

• As tickets are limited, there are no refunds available, and tickets cannot be re-advertised for you, however if you can't attend and can get a friend to come in your place, you may arrange a swap between yourselves. Please contact The Arty Poser before the start of the event to advise if this is the case as valid tickets may need to be shown for entry.

Accessibility:

• A selection of teas including herbal tea and coffee are available in the break for anyone who would like a hot drink (self-serve and included in ticket price). Gluten Free oat milk is always available (it covers most needs and allergies) but you are welcome to bring something specific to drink if you prefer/require it. The Arty Poser accepts no liability for allergens contained within the drinks provided. You are welcome to read package labels before selecting your drink.

• If anyone has any disabilities that may need accommodations, please get in touch before buying a ticket so we can make sure this event is suitable for you and your needs, as we are unable to give refunds unless the event is cancelled. For example: if there are any adjustments you would need such as having a table set up for you, or early access to get in, we will do our best to accommodate. theartyposer@gmail.com

• Juice Studios is located on the first floor of 61A Humber Street. Juice Studios is a wheelchair friendly space with an elevator to the first floor (where the session is held). There is a disabled toilet for those who need it. The toilets are just a few steps (approximately 3-5 meters) from the life drawing room.

• The toilets at Juice are individual cubicles used by all genders.

• If you are extremely hard of hearing/deaf, you are welcome to join us but please note any interpreters will need to buy a ticket for themselves as space is limited. Though The Arty Poser can give you basic instructions about the evening in BSL (such as times and the what is happening next) they are not a qualified interpreter. Please note there will be music played during the event.
