✨️UPCOMING METAL NIGHT SPECIAL LIFE DRAWING SESSION✨️

• Saturday 24th October 2026 7-9pm (Date TBC)

What: a simple, self guided life drawing session with a fun twist.

In October we're life drawing to metal music 🤘 Add your 2 favourite metal songs to the playlist by contacting The Arty Poser once you've booked tickets (via instagram @theartyposer /email theartyposer@gmail.com)

For people wanting to practise their figurative art skills while rocking out. We will have an experienced art model posing for the group.

During these sessions the poses range from 2 minute, dynamic warm-up poses all the way up to 40 minute seated/reclining positions. We often start with the shorter poses and work up to longer poses.

When: We've moved this session to a Saturday by request (so people can take that energy to Spiders metal club after if they wish). It will run from 7pm - 9pm with a 10-15 minute comfort break approximately halfway through. Though we start drawing at 7pm on the dot, doors are open from 6:30pm and it is advised you arrive by 6.45pm (at the latest) to set up.

This event is for 18+ only.

You are more than welcome to:

1. Bring a beer (something fun to drink if you don't fancy tea or coffee). Anyone lucky enough to look under 25 must bring ID if bringing booze. Anyone being drunk and disorderly and disruptive will be asked to leave.

2. Leave your artwork and materials in the studio and collect on the following Thursday or arrange to collect from The Arty Poser. Though our studio is behind 3 key-coded doors we must remind you that valuables are left at your own risk.

3. Join us for a drink after, some of us are planning to go out after and you are welcome to join us. The plan is to go to a bar on Humber Street/Old Town before going to Spiders. Please bring money and ID and dress appropriately to get into Spiders.

Where: Juice Studios, 61A Humber Street, Hull. HU1 1TG (The door to left of Form shop, opposite Cuban Pete's bar & restaurant). The Arty Poser will be outside to let everyone in from 6.30pm. Please see the map below.

Parking and travel: There is parking available at the Fruit Market parking structure (accessible via Blackfriargate). which is approximately 5 mins walk to the venue - parking at Fruit Market is £3 all day at weekends. Humber Street is approximately 25 minutes walk from Paragon bus and train station.

Pricing: Standard Tickets are £19.50 (Prices include booking fees) for those bringing their own art materials.

There are 2 discounted tickets available per session for students/those experiencing financial hardship/Juice artists (renting space or a desk at Juice Studios) for £17.50 p/p (including booking fees). These are only possible because of donations from others who attend.

No art materials? No Problem.

For an additional £4 you can purchase a mini sketchbook (for you to keep) and use of our studio pencils. Please select "General admission (+ art materials)" or "Discounted ticket (+ art materials)" at the checkout when booking your ticket.

Rules/T&Cs

Event Rules:

• Booking tickets in advance is necessary to attend these sessions. This is an 18+ only event.

• We do not give building codes out to anyone but staff for the safety and privacy of the artist who work at Juice Studios.

• If you find yourself running late, you should get in touch as soon as you know you will miss the start time. Please be advised that you may need to wait outside until a break between poses to be let into the building, as to not disrupt the flow of the session.

• Mobile phones/recording devices are to be put away while the model is nude and no photography or recording of the model are allowed at any time by ticket holders. There may be pictures of the event taken for social media, if you wish to have your face blurred/cropped out, please let The Arty Poser know in advance if this is an issue.

• Model etiquette: Under no circumstances is anyone to touch the model -either clothed or nude. These are professional art models at work and anyone deemed to be creating a hostile work environment will be asked to leave without a refund. This includes wolf-whistling or making inappropriate comments, positive or negative, about the models body. If you must compliment them, praise the poses they create or how still they can stay.

• As tickets are limited, there are no refunds available unless the event is cancelled, and tickets cannot be re-advertised for you. However if you can't attend and can get a friend to come in your place, you may arrange a swap between yourselves. Please contact The Arty Poser before the start of the event to advise if this is the case as valid tickets will need to be shown for entry.

Accessibility:

• A selection of teas including herbal tea and coffee are available in the break for anyone who would like a hot drink (self-serve and included in ticket price).  You are welcome to bring something specific to drink if you prefer/require it. The Arty Poser accepts no liability for allergens contained within the drinks provided. You are welcome to read package labels before selecting your drink. This is a BYOB event so if you wish you may bring something alcoholic or non-alcoholic like a beer. 18+ only event.

• If anyone has any disabilities that may need accommodations, please get in touch before buying a ticket so we can make sure this event is suitable for you and your needs, as we are unable to give refunds. For example: if there are any adjustments you would need such as having a table set up for you, or early access to get in, we will do our best to accommodate. theartyposer@gmail.com

• Juice Studios is located on the first floor of 61A Humber Street. Juice Studios is a wheelchair friendly space with an elevator to the first floor (where the session is held). There is a disabled toilet for those who need it. The toilets are just a few steps (approximately 3-5 meters) from the life drawing room.

• The toilets at Juice are individual cubicles used by all genders. 

• If you are extremely hard of hearing/deaf, you are welcome to join us but please note any interpreters will need to buy a ticket for themselves as space is limited. Please note there will be music played during this event.  

With 13+ years experience, The Arty Poser is known for working as a professional, full time art model and organiser.
