Theatre Lunatico presents The Revolutionists.  

With the Reign of Terror knocking at her door, playwright Olympe de Gouges struggles to make art out of chaos by welcoming three influential women of the French Revolution into her study. A meta-theatrical screwball comedy with a dash of historical drama, Lauren Gunderson’s The Revolutionists swirls with heart, creativity, and badass sisterhood.

Activism, stabbings, the guillotine, voice, choice, and the deep bonds of friendship propel these four women through fast-paced, contemporary, comedic dialogue, tenderness, and revolution as they try to avoid losing their heads – all while maintaining impossible beauty standards.
