A staged reading of Euripides' Classic Greek play to commemorate Cyprus Week.

Performed on the 50th anniversary of the invasion of Cyprus in 1974, The Trojan Women, by the great Athenian dramatist Euripides, is set immediately after the fall of Troy and the killing of the Trojan men when the fates of the royal women and children of the city hang in the balance. In this unflinching and timely tragedy adapted by Neil Curry, which confronts the themes of genocide and infanticide, we are invited to question the barbaric actions of those that abuse their positions of power for political gain.  90 minutes with no interval.
