Creative Places Exchange: Place & People
About this event
Join us for the second event in the Creative Places Exchange, a practical series designed to support individuals and organisations shaping place-based work and cultural regeneration.
This session focuses on the essential role of a people-centred approach to creating better places. This means working with community-led organisations, residents, and in many cases prioritising support and programmes for those most in need. This event explores how different engagement methods can empower more inclusive, confident decision-making and meaningful relationship building over time.
We’ll discuss people-centred practice and how different approaches, from consultation to collaboration and co-production, are more than buzzwords and can be used purposefully and effectively.
We will talk about:
Methods of engagement:
From co-design and co-production to consultation and community led – what do we really mean?
What works:
And how ‘success’ looks different, project to project, place by place and with different participants.
Learning from real examples
We will share where our people-centred approach has been useful for local authority forward planning, cultural strategies, work in nature and more.
As with all of our Creative Places Exchange events, we will open the floor for discussion.
We’d love to hear from you:
What are you working on? What has worked well for you? Are you looking for support?
You don’t need to have experience of community work or know about our work at The Audience Agency - this series is about shared learning, practical tools and real-world examples.
