Join us for a unique opportunity to sing with Sir John Rutter and singers from The Bach Choir. We'll sing some of Sir John Rutter’s folk-song cycle The Sprig of Thyme and a sneak preview of his new work Dancing Tree together with a mixture of familiar favourites to bring some midsummer sunshine.

About Sir John Rutter

Sir John Rutter's reputation speaks for itself - his music has featured in a number of British royal occasions, he's one of only 28 composers who have received a prestigious Ivors Academy Fellowship and he was knighted in the 2024 King's Birthday Honours. Despite all of this, Sir John retains the same down-to-earth charm he's always had, which is a fact that our singers will attest to from our many rehearsals together - while you'll learn an awful lot from this Come and Sing, you'll also have a tremendous amount of fun!

Who can join?

All singers who read music are welcome. If you're interested in coming but aren't feeling confident about your singing then do let us know - we can pair you up with a member of The Bach Choir on the day, who will be more than happy to help.

Timings

The session will begin at 11am and end at 4:45pm - here are the approximate timings within the session:

Doors open - 10 am
Morning session - 11 am – 12.45
Lunch break - 12.45 – 2 pm
First afternoon session - 2:00 – 3:25 pm
Tea break - 3:25 – 3:45 pm
Final session - 3.50 – 4.45 pm

Tickets will be taken offline at 11.55pm on Friday 20 June, but they'll be available on the door of the event up until it starts at 11am.
