Willow Weaving Workshops with Deb Hart

Join Deb Hart, a locally renowned artist, to learn the traditional craft of willow weaving! Deb has been running willow and basket weaving workshops across the UK and Canada for the past 20 years. She has worked with the National Trust, English Heritage, Royal Horticultural Society, and numerous charities, and schools. Her willow creations have featured at Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows. Notably, locally – Deb led the willow “German U-boat” and “Willow Whale” on Harwich Beach.

Make A Willow Bird feeder (9:30am - 12:00pm): £45pp

Learn the traditional craft of making a natural willow bird feeder. The workshop will focus on making a versatile bird feeder, suitable for a range of bird feed and uses.

• Approximately 2 – 2.5 hours.
• Learn how to create a large natural garden bird feeder for your garden.
• Practice crafting techniques and take home your own willow bird feeder.
• Drink included (hot or cold) and a sweet small treat.

Craft a set of Willow Scandi Christmas Stars (1:00pm - 3:30pm): £45pp

The workshop will focus on making a set of Scandi-inspired willow Christmas stars from natural willow. 

• Approximately 2 – 2.5 hours.
• Learn how to create natural willow star decorations for your home.
• Practice weaving techniques and take home your own Large Christmas star decoration, more stars if time allows!
• Drink included (hot or cold) and a small sweet treat.

Workshop Details:

• All materials and equipment are provided.
• Suitable for all abilities.
• Practical clothing and footwear recommended for outdoor work.
• The workshop will take place on our outdoor cafe terrace, so undercover but outdoors – So please dress appropriately for the weather.
• Spaces are very limited – book early to avoid disappointment!

Ticket Policy: All tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may cancel your ticket and receive a credit note equal to the ticket value. Credit notes can be used towards future spends at The Barn and are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
