Bay Short Film Festival - Barrow Screening

THE SPACE BETWEEN US 

Eight films about the people we reach for and the connections that almost catch us. A grouchy owl learns to share his home, a woman reinvents herself nightly chasing a stranger, a mother and daughter mend what grief has broken. With stories from the UK, Canada, Bulgaria, Spain, and the United States, the programme travels from a Maine shoreline to a Spanish meditation on mortality, before landing somewhere closer to home with a shop worker whose ordinary day takes the strangest turn imaginable. Quietly emotional and full of unexpected warmth.

Doors open at 12.30pm - the screening starts at 1pm.

This screening is a part of a 3-day film festival with pre-festival filmmakers masterclass. Please check all our events and screenings in Lancaster, Carnforth and Ulverston.

OUR TICKETS POLICY

Choose what works for you. We believe everyone should be able to experience independent cinema, regardless of their financial situation. Our sliding scale ticket system works on trust - choose the price that honestly reflects your circumstances. We never ask for proof or explanations.

• Community Access (Free) - For anyone experiencing financial hardship or for whom cost is a barrier. (will be available in June)
• Community Supporter (£5) - For those who can contribute but are mindful of their budget.
• Community Champion (£8) - For those who can comfortably afford to pay and want to support community access.

All ticket types are equally welcome. We do not require any evidence and will trust you to choose the right ticket type.
