AWKWARD CONFESSIONS & STRANGE ENCOUNTERS

Nine films about the strange, tender, and unsettling corners of ordinary life. A pub competition turns swallowing pickled eggs into community ritual; a couple's counselling session reveals more than either expected; a woman wakes unable to move and discovers she is not alone in her bed. Between sharper comedies — a confession over dessert, a Cumbrian dad rigging a Christmas turkey raffle, a coronation party derailed by an eccentric performer — sit quieter, heavier pieces: a fractured marriage, a young woman fresh from prison searching for the mother who left her. This programme is for 15+ audiences with films ranging from laugh-out-loud to genuinely haunting.
